| Grading
Success at Whitchurch on 1 April |
02 August 2008 |
Six Club Members
attended the Grading at St Bernadette's School,
Whitchurch on Sunday 1
April,
which turned out to be a very long, but rewarding
day. Five novices, Tony, Emily, Charlie, Georgia and
Cain, took their first grading, and all got their
Orange Belts, and David Aldridge got his Brown &
White Belt.
The grading started at
12 noon with a 90 minute training session. There
were around 100 present, and the training was led by
two senior Instructors, Senseis Martin Skidmore from
Imperial Karate, and Kieran Shore from Bath SKC.
Over 50 took their
gradings, 18 of those were Brown Belts, and the
Grading Examiner, Sensei Bob Poynton, 7th Dan, was
very meticulous in checking and correcting students
errors.
The Brown Belts were
examined first, as some had to leave early, and then
the other grades were examined. In all it took
around four hours to complete the grading.
Congratulations to all
who passed, and thanks to the organisers for an
excellent training and grading day.
