Dojo Kun

The Dojo Kun roughly translates to:

Refrain from violent behaviour

Be faithful and sincere

Cultivate the spirit of perseverance

Be respectful and courteous

Seek perfection of character

 

Etiquette

Good etiquette is important to all Karate-ka.

Karate-ka must bow upon entering and leaving the Dojo.

Give respect to the Dojo.

Give respect to the instructor and visiting Sensei.

Give respect to all Karate-ka - whatever the grade or age.

Bow to Dan grades in order of seniority.

Arrive on time for your class.

Acknowledge the instructor during the lesson.

Maximum effort must be applied during the class.

Make sure Karate Gi's are washed and cleaned.

Jewellery must be removed for training.

No smoking or eating in the Dojo.

Do not use abusive language.

No unnecessary violence inside or outside the Dojo.
